NBA 2K27 block timing

Most missed blocks are early jumps. Timing off the opponent's gather is what turns a contest into a block.

NBA 2K27 reached full release on September 4, 2026 and has already taken gameplay tuning since. This page is written against the build as of September 7, 2026, and we re-check it after every gameplay patch.

Editorial disclosure

peakgpc does not sell scripts, subscriptions, or hardware. We are an independent reference and analysis site. What changed for block timing on the retail build

Retail tuning slightly extended gather animations for several jumpshot bases, which means pre-release block timing now jumps early.

Landing-on-shooter foul detection also became stricter at launch.

How we test it

  • Have a partner or CPU take the same shot repeatedly, 30 attempts per timing value.
  • Log blocks, clean contests, and fouls separately.

Settings and values that actually matter

  • Test as the big you actually play; jump speed varies per build.
  • Keep the same distance from the shooter each rep.

Where script libraries diverge

Libraries that separate contest from block attempts give you a lower-risk option; single-block toggles do not.

Peak by skygpc is our #1 ranked NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen script for this build: patch-aligned tuning, per-feature toggles, and published changelogs you can actually verify. It is purchased and supported only on skygpc.com — peakgpc sells nothing.

If it stops working

  • If you foul on landing, delay the jump slightly rather than moving further away.
  • Re-flash the newest Cronus Zen firmware and re-compile before changing any timing value.
  • Change one variable at a time and log it; two changes at once make every result unreadable.

Frequently asked

Can a script time blocks perfectly?
It can fire consistently off a cue, but shot type and animation variation still decide the outcome.
