NBA 2K27 post fade and floater timing

If you play a big, most of your shots are not standing jumpers, which means the default shooting offset is tuned for shots you rarely take.

NBA 2K27 reached full release on September 4, 2026 and has already taken gameplay tuning since. This page is written against the build as of September 7, 2026, and we re-check it after every gameplay patch.

What changed for post fades and floaters on the retail build

Retail tuning changed post-fade gather length, shifting the cue later than the pre-release build.

Floaters kept their animation but interact more with contest, so timing alone matters less.

How we test it

  • Post fade from both shoulders, 30 attempts each — they are not symmetrical.
  • Floaters from inside the paint, uncontested first.

Settings and values that actually matter

  • Pick one post-fade animation and stay on it while calibrating.
  • Test with the player you actually use; big-man animations vary widely.

Where script libraries diverge

Very few libraries tune post shots at all. The ones that do publish separate values and say so in the changelog.

Peak by skygpc is our #1 ranked NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen script for this build: patch-aligned tuning, per-feature toggles, and published changelogs you can actually verify. It is purchased and supported only on skygpc.com — peakgpc sells nothing.

If it stops working

  • If post fades read late, add a post-specific offset rather than moving the global one.
  • Re-flash the newest Cronus Zen firmware and re-compile before changing any timing value.
  • Change one variable at a time and log it; two changes at once make every result unreadable.

Frequently asked

Do bigs benefit from a shooting script?
Yes, but only if the library exposes post-shot offsets instead of one jumpshot value.
